Vierra Falls Church (Va.) Health & Rehab named Tahir A. Shaikh, DO, medical director, Citybiz reported Sept. 15.
In this role, Dr. Shaikh will be one of the 160-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center’s rounding attending physicians and oversee medical leadership. He will lead development of a clinical model to improve communication between hospital physicians and clinicians responsible for patients after discharge, expand connections with hospital-based physicians, and provide medical leadership for Vierra Falls Church’s VIVID Recovery short-stay rehabilitation program.
Dr. Shaikh practices as an internal medicine hospitalist at Inova Alexandria (Va.) Hospital.
