Most nursing homes are dependent on fee-for-service payments for Medicare and Medicaid, but value-based care could be the higher paying option.
“By participating in value-based care models such as I-SNPs and ACOs, facilities that strive to provide quality care for their residents and produce better outcomes can be reimbursed at a higher rate for their efforts,” he said.
