Tennessee nursing home to close after immediate jeopardy findings

CMS cited Viviant Healthcare in Bristol, Tenn., with immediate jeopardy, leading to the facility's sudden closure, WJHL reported Nov. 10.

CMS found Goldner Capital Management, which owns the facility, did not pay vendors, including medical companies that provided services. After a monthlong investigation, CMS found the facility was in immediate jeopardy and announced it would cease payment for patients who entered the facility after July 1.

The facility is closing, and dozens of residents are relocating in the next 30 days.
