The nursing home notified the Ocean County (N.J.) Department of Health of the scabies cases Feb. 7.
Jennifer Crawford, the county’s communicable disease supervisor, did not confirm how many infections occurred but told nj.com the outbreak was confined to Fountain View Care Center.
The nursing home is working with health officials to address the outbreak and has already decontaminated the facility.
