Record number of post-acute facilities earn quality recognition: AHCA/NCAL

The American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living recognized a record number of facilities with the 2026 Silver-Achievement in Quality Award.

The award — which is celebrating its 30th year — recognizes long-term care organizations that meet rigorous standards of quality to improve the lives of residents, according to a July 9 news release shared with Becker’s. 

In 2026, 255 organizations across 43 states received the Silver award. This included 171 skilled nursing facilities, 46 assisted living communities, 36 combined SNF/AL providers, and two intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

Last month, AHCA/NCAL announced a record 894 organizations earned the Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award. The association will announce the recipients of this year’s Gold Award in August.
