Physiatrist named CEO of Illinois rehab hospital

Pablo Celnik, MD, a physiatrist and physician-scientist from Johns Hopkins University, was named CEO of Chicago-based Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, according to a June 29 facility news release.

Dr. Celnik will leave his position as physiatrist-in-chief and chair of the department of physical medicine and rehabilitation at JHU to assume his new role in mid-October.

Dr. Celnik will succeed Peggy Kirk, RN, who is retiring after 42 years at the rehab facility, formerly known as the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.
