New York City-based NYC Health + Hospitals named Verna Mitchell, BSN, RN, chief nursing officer at NYC Health + Hospitals/Coler, an 815-bed skilled nursing facility on Roosevelt Island.
In this role, Ms. Mitchell will oversee budget and resources, training and development, regulatory compliance and resident safety, according to an Oct. 20 system news release. She will lead more than 450 nursing professionals.
She joined the system in 2019 and most recently served as deputy director of nursing at the Coler hospital.
