Oceanside, N.Y.-based Mount Sinai South Nassau has partnered with New York City-based MJHS Hospice and Palliative Care to offer inpatient hospice services.
The 24/7 hospice services will be available to hospital patients who are unable to safely return home for end-of-life care, according to a June 10 news release from Mount Sinai South Nassau.
Hospice care will be provided by clinical care teams alongside social workers, grief counselors, art therapists and chaplains.
Mount Sinai South Nassau is part of New York City-based Mount Sinai Health System.
