The group is supporting two bills and asks the governor to help improve a “system cycling downward.”
Laura Barrett, one of the organizers of an SEIU press conference, said the bills would increase patient safety, according to the report, adding “House Bill 938 would apply to both nursing homes and hospitals, and it requires a labor management meeting to be held. This is a simple way to just make sure that our facilities are safer.”
The governor’s office responded to KOMU’s request for comment by saying Mr. Parson had not had an opportunity to review the matter.
