The unit, which cost $11 million to expand and began admitting patients Sept. 20, has grown from housing 24 beds to 40, according to a Sept. 26 news release from Trinity Health.
University of Michigan Health, the clinical division of Michigan Medicine, has transferred its cancer and spinal cord injury programs to the new unit as part of the expansion.
The unit is staffed by Trinity Health support personnel and UM Health providers, the release said.
