The agency, in collaboration with the CDC and local state partners, has linked the multistate outbreak to Lyons ReadyCare and Sysco Imperial Frozen Supplemental Shakes. The shakes, which are sold to food service customers in institutional settings, have since been recalled.

Thirty-eight people across 21 states have been infected in the outbreak. Of those, 37 have been hospitalized and 12 people have died.
