Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Miami named Rafael Alvarez, DNP, CRRN, CEO.
Dr. Alvarez has spent the last seven years serving as the hospital’s chief nursing officer, according to an Aug. 5 system news release shared with Becker’s.
He was a physician in Cuba before immigrating to the U.S. and beginning his career with Encompass Health as a therapy aide. Over the last 17 years, he has held a number of leadership roles and most recently assumed regional responsibilities supporting other Encompass hospitals in Florida.
Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Miami is a 60-bed inpatient facility.
