Birmingham, Ala.-based Encompass Health has opened Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Central Florida – Sumter County, a 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital within The Villages, a retirement community in Florida.
The facility is a satellite location of the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Central Florida in Ocala, according to a Sept. 9 news release from the health system.
Encompass Health is the largest owner and operator of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals in the U.S., the release said.
