The agency announced the payment decrease in a fact sheet published June 30 which outlines additional proposed policy changes for home health agencies.

If accepted, the reduction would amount to a projected $1.135 billion fewer payments to home health agencies in 2026 compared to 2025.

The agency has requested public comment on the proposed rule, with the comment period set to end Sept 2.
