Memphis, Tenn.-based Baptist Memorial Health Care has agreed to sell the Baptist Memorial Restorative Care Hospital, a long-term acute care facility, to Mechanicsburg, Pa.-based Select Medical Corp.
The facility will be renamed Select Specialty Hospital – Memphis East after the acquisition is finalized, which is expected to occur in the third quarter, according to an April 17 news release from Select Medical.
Select Medical currently owns and operates one critical illness recovery hospital in Memphis and six outpatient rehabilitation centers in the greater Memphis area, the release said.
