Phoenix-based Banner Alzheimer’s Institute CEO Eric Reiman, MD, is stepping down effective Oct. 1.
Under his leadership as founding CEO, the institute has become an internationally recognized center of excellence and advanced prevention research, according to a Sept. 10 system news release.
When he steps down, Dr. Reiman will transition to independent roles that focus on Alzheimer’s prevention, and will serve as a senior advisor and collaborator at the Banner Alzheimer’s and Banner Sun Health Research Institutes.
Corey Casper, MD, senior vice president and chief research officer of Banner Health, is stepping in as interim CEO.
Jessica Langbaum, PhD, senior director of Alzheimer’s prevention at Banner Alzheimer’s Institute, will assume the Arizona Alzheimer’s Consortium director role in October.
