Austin Ord. Director of Post-Acute Care for the Sutter Health Bay Area (San Francisco). In his position as Sutter Health Bay Area’s director of post-acute care, Mr. Ord developed a preferred provider network for skilled nursing facilities across San Francisco. Additionally, he helped implement a SNF Community Case Manager program, which led to a 36 percent decrease in readmissions and 14 percent shorter length of stay. Mr. Ord played a critical role in a helping the system achieve an 89 percent reduction in patient wait times for the California Pacific Medical Center chemotherapy infusion center after installing a point-of-care blood test machine.
