The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium is building a new skilled nursing facility on the Anchorage-based Alaska Native Medical Center campus, the American Hospital Association reported Aug. 27.

The facility will treat up to 80 patients who are well enough to leave the hospital, but still require care and recovery support before returning home. It’s scheduled to open in March.
