AHCA/NCAL recognizes 4 leaders, front-line staff for post-acute excellence

The American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living recognized four leaders and front-line staff in its 2026 Provider Achieving Care Excellence Awards Program.

The program, formerly known as the AHCA/NCAL Awards Program, recognizes outstanding contributions of leaders and front-line staff in the long term and post-acute care profession, according to an Aug. 11 association news release shared with Becker’s

“The honorees exemplify outstanding leadership, professionalism, and dedication to both their residents and their colleagues,” AHCA/NCAL President and CEO Clif Porter said in the release. “We are proud to recognize their commitment to delivering exceptional care, fostering innovation and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those they serve every day.”

The award recipients this year are:

  • AHCA Leader of the Year: Donna Baker, director of quality, risk and compliance at Maine Veterans’ Home in Augusta 
  • NCAL Leader of the Year: Melissa McCorquodale, senior living administrator at Good Samaritan Society-Ridge View Estates in Pipestone, Minn. 
  • AHCA Noble Caregiver: Macy McMann, social worker at Rose Haven Nursing Home in Marengo, Iowa 
  • NCAL Noble Caregiver: Kyle Grover, maintenance manager at Brookdale Senior Living Florence (N.J.)
