Three nursing homes opening:
- Queensbury, N.Y.-based Hudson Headwaters Health Network opened a nursing home that will operate under the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly care model in Glens Falls, N.Y.
- Quincy, Calif.-based Plumas District Hospital will open a new skilled nursing facility, also in Quincy, in fall 2025.
- Sanford Health will open a new senior living campus in Sioux Falls, Idaho, with the first phase of the project slated to open in spring 2026.
Seven nursing homes closing:
- Eagle Lake, Maine-based Mercy Home will close at the end of April.
- Rochester, N.Y.-based St. John’s is closing its Penfield (N.Y) St. John’s Green House Homes’ facilities.
- Farmington, Conn.-based Athena Health Care Systems will close two skilled nursing facilities in Bristol, Conn., the Sheriden Woods Health Care Center and the Countryside Manor of Bristol.
- San Francisco-based St. Anne’s Home, operated by Little Sisters of the Poor, will close in April.
- Athena Health Care also closed the Highview of Northampton (Mass.) nursing home in late 2024.
- Rosa Coplon Living Center in Amherst, N.Y., closed in November 2024.
