Nursing home resident dies of hypothermia, coroner says

A woman found outside of Pandora, Ohio-based Hilty Memorial Homes, where she lived, died of hypothermia, a coroner confirmed Tuesday, reports WTVG.

The resident, 76-year-old Phyllis Campbell, was found outside the facility around 8:30 a.m. Jan. 7, when temperatures reached below freezing around much of Ohio.

The Putnam County sheriff's office and the Pandora Police Department are investigating the resident's death.

No further details about Ms. Campbell's death were released.
