2 Illinois nursing homes fined over patient care issues

The Illinois Department of Public Health fined two nursing homes in Quincy over patient care issues in the fourth quarter of 2018, according to KHMO.

IDPH gave St. Vincent’s Home two citations, which involved mental abuse of a patient and inadequate pain management for another patient.

Sunset Home was also cited after a resident fell and broke her wrist while using the bathroom unassisted.

Each citation resulted in a $2,200 fine.
