US ranks No. 9 in world for quality of life

How would you describe your country's quality for life for its citizens?

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development released its annual Better Life Index, which lists the top countries according to 11 parameters, including work-life balance, financial wealth, safety, education and environmental quality, according to a Business Insider article.

The organization analyzed 34 countries using data from the United Nations, National Statistics Offices and the Gallup Organization.

Here are the top 11 countries that scored highest across all 11 categories.

1. Norway
2. Australia
3. Denmark
4. Switzerland
5. Canada
6. Sweden
7. New Zealand
8. Finland
9. U.S.
10. Iceland
11. Netherlands
