Richmond, Va May 8, 2017– This week True Health Diagnostics will celebrate its commitment to women’s health as employees participate in the 20th Annual Komen Central Virginia Race for the Cure®.
True Health Diagnostics will also host a special event for staff and laboratory personnel. They will meet with the executive director of Susan G. Komen Central Virginia to discuss the importance of greater access to hereditary cancer genetic screenings.

Last month, True Health Diagnostics launched its genTrue™ product, a hereditary cancer test designed for use by medical practitioners to identify individuals with suspected heritable cancer syndrome.

In addition to hereditary cancer genetic testing, True Health offers testing for hormone abnormalities, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes, chronic conditions that impact millions of women in the United States every year. Screenings for these and other conditions have been recommended for women by the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force due to the significantly increased risk that women face.
