To celebrate the City of Miami Beach's centennial birthday, Mount Sinai Medical Center, located in Miami Beach, Fla., has sponsored the installation of 50 free sunscreen dispensers throughout the city for public use.
The dispensers will be placed around public pools, parks and lifeguard stands at various beaches to help protect the public against the risk of melanoma and skin cancer.
The medical center is co-sponsoring the sunscreen initiative with Destination Brands International, which developed an official and exclusive sun care product line called MB Miami Beach Suncare that will be provided in the dispensers.
"We are pleased to offer these free sunscreen dispensers as part of our commitment to improving the health and well-being of our community and its visitors," said Steve Sonenreich, Mount Sinai president and CEO.
