Leaders, physicians, and clinicians from the Wound Care Center celebrated the Center’s receipt of the Robert A. Warriner III Center of Excellence award. The Center of Excellence award is given to Wound Care Centers® in the Healogics network meeting the highest level of quality standards for at least two consecutive years.

PRMC's Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine has reported patient satisfaction rates higher than 92 percent, a healing rate of at least 91 percent, along with several other quality standards for two straight years. The center was awarded this honor by Healogics, the nation’s leading and largest wound care management company. The award is named for Dr. Warriner, a pioneer in wound care and former chief medical officer for Healogics.

Across the country, 334 Centers were eligible and 169 Centers were honored with the award this year.

“We are very proud of the Wound Care Center at PRMC,” said Richard Grogan, interim CEO at Palestine Regional Medical Center. “Achieving this level of distinction is a testament to Dr. Wood and his staff. They provide care to all patients in our area who need help.

“Not only do we provide outstanding quality care in our Wound Care Center, but we do so with compassion and attention to the patients and their families."
