Kendra Scott donates $1M to Dell Children's

Austin, Texas-based Dell Children's Medical Center received a $1 million donation from jewelry designer Kendra Scott, which will partially go toward an event center at the hospital.

The event center, which will be named the Kendra Scott Child Life Event Center, will have space for virtual and in-person activities for kids to use during medical treatment, according to a Jan. 31 news release from the Kendra Scott company.

The gift was made to the Dell Children's Foundation Here Campaign.

"As a mom of three boys, I am so thankful to have Dell Children's in Central Texas to provide pediatric patients and families unparalleled care," said Ms. Scott. "I am excited for the Kendra Scott Child Life Event Center to bring creativity, joy and a smile to children and families when they need it most, and to continue to support the Dell Children's Hospital during the Here Campaign as they can continue to create good in the world."
