Faculty from Washington State University’s College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Spokane are now providing telehealth services to Medicare patients nationwide through a new collaboration with Praventa Health.
More than a dozen WSU pharmacy faculty members are participating in Praventa Health’s telehealth platform, offering counseling and comprehensive medication management, according to a Jan. 28 news release. The program focuses on chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular disease, aiming to improve medication adherence and access for underserved patients.
Leaders at Praventa Health said the addition of academic pharmacists brings a high level of clinical and teaching expertise to the national care model. Faculty began orientation for the program in September 2025.
The collaboration will also support future pharmacy training. WSU plans to use the initiative as a telehealth learning site for students, pairing them with faculty mentors and AI-driven tools that support medication adherence and follow-up care.
