West Virginia hospital CEO becomes chair of 340B Health

Nonprofit organization 340B Health selected Karen Bowling, president and CEO of a West Virginia University Health System hospital, as the new chair of its board of directors.

She is replacing Patricia Vilt, who is the senior vice president, chief financial officer and chief compliance officer at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Va., according to a July 14 news release shared with Becker’s.

Ms. Bowling is executive vice president of government affairs for Morgantown, W.Va.-based WVU Medicine and is the president and CEO of the system’s Princeton Community Hospital.
