UnityPoint Health has opened a new retail pharmacy location near its Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
The pharmacy — situated in a building across the street from the hospital — will offer prescription and over-the-counter medications and special ordering. Individuals will be able to receive personalized medication counseling from pharmacists on-site, according to a press release sent to local news outlets. It will be open to the public.
West Des Moines, Iowa-based UnityPoint Health operates 35 hospitals and a network of clinics and home care services across Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin.
