U of Wisconsin offers PharmD pathway for high schoolers, undergrads

The University of Wisconsin-Madison’s pharmacy school unveiled a new avenue that guarantees admission for high schoolers and first-year undergrads into its PharmD program.

The early assurance program, which launched this school year, allows high school seniors and first-semester students across the university’s 13 campuses to secure admission years before working toward their PharmD. 

To maintain eligibility, prospective PharmD students must maintain a 3.2 GPA and meet with a pharmacy school adviser every semester, according to the university’s website
