U of Kentucky names 2 specialty pharmacy directors

Thom Platt, PharmD, and Samantha Bochenek, PharmD, have been named senior directors of the University of Kentucky Specialty Pharmacy and Infusion Services program. 

The appointments follow the transition of Debbie Duckworth, PharmD, from her role as senior director of UK Specialty Pharmacy and Infusion Services on March 3, according to a LinkedIn post from Dr. Duckworth.

Dr. Platt most recently served as director of specialty pharmacy services at the University of Kentucky and previously was associate director of quality and outcomes.

Dr. Bochenek most recently served as director of specialty infusion and medication assistance and previously held leadership roles including director of specialty infusion and outpatient pharmacy systems.

Dr. Duckworth began a new role March 4 as senior specialty pharmacy consultant to Philip Almeter, where she will support strategic projects and leadership transitions, according to the post.
