Cleveland County District Judge Thad Balkman said June 10 that the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office must file paperwork showing how the distribution of the proposed settlement agreement will comply with a new state law.
The new state law, passed after Purdue Pharma paid Oklahoma $270 million to settle opioid charges, requires that any settlement funds go directly to the state treasury.
