Boise, Idaho-based St. Luke’s Health System named Josh Weber, PharmD, senior director of ambulatory, retail and specialty pharmacy services, he confirmed to Becker’s in an email.
In the new role, Dr. Weber will lead the strategic, financial and operational efforts across the health system’s outpatient pharmacy portfolio, which includes 10 outpatient pharmacy sites, a specialty pharmacy program and home delivery services, he said.
Dr. Weber said his priorities include expanding the health system’s specialty pharmacy services, improving payer network access, advancing pharmacy automation and strengthening medication access through digital innovation and centralized delivery models.
“I’m most excited about the opportunity to work alongside the incredible teams at St. Luke’s who are deeply committed to advancing patient care, expanding access and defining pharmacy excellence,” he said. “I’m also energized by the opportunity to shape the next generation of integrated pharmacy services especially through the expansion of home delivery, specialty pharmacy payer strategy, automation, digital transformation and centralized delivery models to improve affordability, convenience and outcomes for our patients.”
Prior to joining St. Luke’s, Dr. Weber led specialty and home delivery pharmacy services at Charlottesville, Va.-based UVA Health.
