Woodbridge, Va.-based Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center has opened Sentara To Home, an outpatient pharmacy that allows patients to fill prescriptions before leaving the hospital.

The pharmacy opened Oct. 14 and offers insurance assistance, medication cost evaluations and support for patients facing financial or other barriers to obtaining prescribed medications, according to an Oct. 14 news release.

Sentara To Home serves hospitalized patients, individuals receiving care through local Sentara Medical Group practices and Sentara team members. The Northern Virginia location joins outpatient pharmacies at seven Sentara hospitals in Hampton Roads, Harrisonburg and Charlottesville.
