RWJBarnabas names chief pharmacy officer

West Orange, N.J.-based RWJBarnabas Health has appointed David Silverman, PharmD, senior vice president and chief pharmacy officer, effective Sept. 14.

Mr. Silverman will set systemwide strategy for pharmacy services and oversee operations, policy development, the 340B program, medication management, regulatory compliance and pharmacy innovation, according to a Sept. 10 news release.

Mr. Silverman joins RWJBarnabas Health from Ontario, Calif.-based Prime Healthcare, where he served as vice president of pharmacy services and oversaw pharmacy services across 55 hospitals in 15 states.
