Roche names chief of $13B diagnostics unit

Roche has selected Thomas Schinecker to serve as CEO of Roche Diagnostics, effective in August.

Mr. Schinecker, currently serving as Roche’s head of centralized and point-of-care solutions, will succeed Michael Heurer, who is retiring at the end of July.

Mr. Heurer had been serving as interim CEO of the $13 billion diagnostics unit, which includes diabetes care and personalized cancer treatments.

Roche also announced that Peter Voser will leave Roche’s board of directors by July.
