The West Sacramento, Calif.-based grocery chain is slated to shutter the pharmacies by Nov. 5. It will still operate 69 pharmacies.
Raley’s said it chose the 27 locations based on relevance and profitability.
Prescription files for the affected locations were sold to Walgreens, CVS Pharmacy and Rite Aid.
Raley’s said it will notify all affected pharmacy patients of their transfer locations and timing. It will also provide transition support for affected pharmacy staff, including pay, other benefits and future employment assistance.
