Prosecutors claimed Almirall’s sales representatives funded improper meals, lavish trips, gift cards and other gifts for dermatology providers.

The drugmaker also allegedly hired providers to speak at events, serve on advisory boards and consult with other providers to entice dermatologists to prescribe its drugs.

The illegal conduct reportedly occurred between 2012 and 2017.
