Pfizer to lay off 285 in New York

Pfizer will lay off more than a fourth of its employees at a New York facility, according to a WARN notice filed in the state.

Between Feb. 12 and March 25, the drugmaker plans to lay off 285 out of its 1,012 workers in Pearl River, N.Y., because of “economic” reasons, the notice said.
