Pfizer expects to make 3 billion COVID-19 vaccine doses this year

Pfizer and its partner BioNTech expect to make up to 3 billion COVID-19 vaccines in 2021, The Hill reported.

The drugmakers previously projected making about 2.5 billion doses this year. By mid-April, Pfizer said it had signed contracts accounting for 1.6 billion doses to be delivered this year, according to The Hill

The vaccine earned Pfizer $3.5 billion in the first quarter of 2020, the company said May 4.
