Purdue Pharma and its owners, the Sackler family, are offering to pay $10 billion to $12 billion to settle thousands of lawsuits claiming the company fueled the opioid epidemic, NBC News reported citing two people familiar with the discussions.

The FDA issued a formal request to AmEx Pharmacy to recall all of its compounded drug products intended to be sterile after the company didn't take any corrective actions following an inspection that found "significant quality and sterility concerns."
