The Orlando Health Scripts Specialty Pharmacy will allow the health system to continue to care for patients following difficult-to-manage disease diagnoses. It will employ 10 workers, with plans to expand to 40 workers in the coming years.

“We began conceptualizing this pharmacy a few years ago, so to see it complete and ready to meet the needs of our patients is really exciting,” Jennifer Williams, the pharmacy’s manager, said in a news release. “This facility will allow us to better provide the needed complex medications for patients battling serious illnesses, teach them how to use these medications and find ways to reduce the financial impact of the costs of the medications.”

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
