Bend, Ore.-based St. Charles Health System opened a new community pharmacy in Madras, Ore., with an aim to improve medication access amid a growing trend of pharmacy closures.
The pharmacy will serve residents of Jefferson County and surrounding areas, offering prescription refills in store and through a drive-up window, according to a May 30 news release from the health system.
The facility also will provide immunizations, medication management, injections for long-term care needs and retail sales for over-the-counter medicine and some medical equipment.
