OhioHealth Van Wert Hospital has finished its $3.15 million pharmacy expansion, doubling the facility’s size.

The pharmacy supplies medications for patients across the hospital’s emergency department, surgery, acute care and outpatient infusion services and now has two specialized clean rooms, one for hazardous medications and one for non-hazardous medications, according to a Sept. 17 news release from the health system.

The expansion also includes receiving and storage space, allowing medications to be prepared in more controlled environments, the release said.

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
