The Galion, Ohio-based system, which operates three hospitals in North Central Ohio, renovated a portion of its existing office space to build the pharmacy, according to a Feb. 17 news release. In addition to prescription and over-the-counter medications, the location will offer car-side delivery services and secure communications to the pharmacy team through Avita’s RxLocal app.
In 2024, Rite Aid closed hundreds of locations during a temporary bankruptcy, and the 4,490 residents of Crestline lost their only pharmacy location.
“When we found out that Crestline was going to be without a pharmacy, we made it a priority to bring those services to the community,” Jerry Morasko, Avita’s president and CEO, said in the release.
