The program launched last week at several hundred pharmacies that offer on-site healthcare services, such as CVS Minute Clinics. Only pharmacies that have prescribing authorities on site can participate in the program.
“I don’t think there’s a single one” in Vermont, Lauren Bode, PharmD, interim executive director of the Vermont Pharmacists Association, told VTDigger.
Dr. Bode said she’s unclear why Vermont does not have any pharmacies with on-site clinics, though it may be due partly to the state’s small size.
The state does have at least a dozen Federally Qualified Health Centers, which will be able to participate in the test-to-treat program, though the centers told VTDigger they have not gotten any details yet.
