The U.S. Trade Representative’s Office said it has updated a list of 3,806 product categories that could be subject to tariffs of up to 25 percent. Cellphones, laptop computers, clothing, books, bedsheets, fresh produce and yarn, are among items on the list.
But the list excludes Chinese-made pharmaceuticals, inputs for pharmaceuticals and select medical products.
A public hearing will be held June 17 on the list of items subject to potential tariffs.
