Mylan recalls anxiety drug

Mylan is recalling one lot of its generic version of Xanax, called alprazolam tablets, due to the potential presence of a foreign substance.

Alprazolam tablets are used for the management of anxiety disorder, short-term relief of anxiety symptoms and treatment of panic disorder with or without agoraphobia. 

The affected lot, 8082708, which comes as a bottle of 500 pills, was distributed in the U.S. between July 2019 and August 2019. 

Mylan has not received any adverse event reports related to the affected lot.
