Moderna nabs former Novartis executive

An executive who has worked at Novartis for 30 years, Jerh Collins, PhD, is moving to pharmaceutical company Moderna to be its next chief technical operations and quality officer as the company expands its executive committee.

Dr. Collins will succeed Juan Andres, who will become Moderna’s strategic partnerships and enterprise expansion president, which is a new role, according to a Sept. 29 news release. 

The vaccine-maker said the committee’s expansion is in anticipation of upcoming product releases.
